The Caldwell Magnum Rifle Gong is made of AR-550 steel to provide unsurpassed target durability, capable of withstanding nearly all center-fire rifle and handgun cartridges. Mill certified hardness of 550 Brinell (HBW) for AR-550 and 500 Brinell for AR-500 targets. Specialized 'Through-Hardening' achieved from proprietary quenching and tempering processes. The finely tuned and tightly controlled chemical composition produce highly reliable toughness and resistance to pitting, cracking or bending ensuring your target will stand up to many sessions of target practice!
