Instructions:

1. Ensure Safety First
   - Ensure the firearm is unloaded. Remove the magazine and lock the slide back.
   - Visually and physically check to ensure there is no round in the chamber.
2. Disassemble the Firearm
   - With the slide locked back, rotate the takedown lever (located on the left side of the frame) downward to the 6 o'clock position.
   - Release the slide by allowing it to move forward gently while maintaining control.
3. Remove the Slide Assembly
   - Pull the slide assembly off the frame by moving it forward and off the rails.
4. Remove the Recoil Spring and Guide Rod
   - The recoil spring and guide rod are located under the barrel within the slide assembly.
   - Compress the recoil spring slightly and lift the guide rod out from the barrel lug. Be cautious as the spring is under tension.
5. Replace the Recoil Spring
   - Remove the old recoil spring from the guide rod.
   - Inspect the guide rod and clean if necessary.
   - Install the new recoil spring onto the guide rod, ensuring it is properly seated.
6. Reassemble the Slide Assembly
